I was lucky enough to grow up in some of the best hunting and fishing country in North Dakota. Hazen is where I call home. 12 miles from the big lake, and 10 miles from the Missouri River. Graduated from Hazen High School in 2003. Took a year off and worked, had a few minor stints in junior A hockey, and then went onto Minot State University from 04-08 where I studied Chemistry, Biology, and Pre-Chiropractic. I was fortunate enough to play college hockey and baseball for 3 years for the mighty Beavers! ( Even though I am a huge Sioux fan at heart )
After Minot I ventured out to Bloomington Minnesota where I attended NWHSU or known as Northwestern Health Sciences University. After a full year in Minnesota, I transferred to different chiropractic school in Davenport Iowa (Palmer College of Chiropractic). After a full year there, I made the tough decision, to take some time off before I finished my degree.
During my time off from chiropractic school I ended up meeting a Geology professor at NDSU and found a new passion for Geology, so a year and a half later I graduated from NDSU with my degrees in Biology and Geology. Now finding some new passions in life, I have finally decided that I will not be returning to chiropractic school to finish my doctrine, although I am still a huge advocate for the profession.
Aviation is one of my biggest hobbies and takes up much of my time. I have been a private pilot for a little over two years, and love flying low and slow over the rolling hills and lakes of North Dakota. My dad is an aircraft mechanic and also an avid bush pilot, and we try to rebuild a vehicle or aircraft every few years. We have restored in the previous few years, a 1970 F-250, 1974 F-250, and a 1946 Taylorcraft airplane, and am currently in the process of restoring a 1968 Mercury Cougar. Needless to say, I am a Ford fan and will never own anything that has a bow tie on it. Other aircraft that we have owned in the past include : 1947 PA-11, 1949 PA-16 Clipper, 1959 PA-20/22 Pacer, and a 7EC Champ.
Whenever I'm back home, I'm either flying, fishing, hunting, or tinkering on some sort of machine. In the later summer and fall it's mostly about the whitetail hunting for me, as I spend every free weekend for 2-3 months scouting for that specific deer that I want to put a bullet/arrow in. Also, in the fall, pheasant hunting takes up lots of my time. I have 2 blacks labs that are hunting freaks and great bird dogs, and recently got a new half shorthair/half black lab. She looks like she will be a great up and coming bird dog.. Nothing better than seeing your personally trained pup flushing up a big rooster for you to get a poke at !!
I took the plunge a few months back and got engaged to a gorgeous, tall and skinny blonde from Pick City ND
. She also loves to hunt and fish, and always keeps me on my toes. She just graduated from NDSU with her Animal Science and Equestrian degrees. She is a full-time horse trainer, and has trained under some of the best trainers in the state of North Dakota the past few years. If you need a horse trained, she is your gal. PM me if you have any questions concerning horses and they will be relayed to her!
I recently was hired with a brand new company in Dickinson ND as a Chemist, and the job is simply amazing! If you are looking for a new job pertaining to the fracking side of the oil field, feel free to message me and we can talk details.
I would love to get to meet more of the hunters/fisherman around the ND area to get out and do any sort of hunting or fishing around the area.
