A bottle jack or a bottle of Jack? ;)

Don't have a lot to compare to, but I recently picked up a husqvarna and I'm pleased with it. I just looked at all the reviews and comparisons online and there wasn't a bad thing said about it. Can't remember the specs right off the top of my head, but it's an 18" bar. I figure quality only hurts once!
Re: Kenetreks........are they worth the $$$$$$$???

I've had Danner Pronghorns going on 10 years now. I did have to take them into Gartners Shoe Hospital to have some stitches resewn, but they are still waterproof and still comfy. they were made in the USA back then. I also picked up some Lowa's this year and am quite impressed! I needed something with better ankle support since I broke one a couple years ago and they do the trick.
If you guys are looking, check out shoebuy.com. They often have deals on Kennetrek's and Lowa's and then offer discounts for first time buyers. Saved me almost $200 bucks on a pair.
I liked the Kennetrek's as well, but the deal on the Lowa's was tough to beat. Still impressed with my Danner's though, lots of miles on those boots and I'm still wearing em!

Whisker biscuit had its day and those days are over for me.

No doubt, there's just no reason to shoot one anymore, they go against everything a person ever learned about vane clearance and yes they make noise. And the colder it gets the more they make. Get a QAD, and put the good silencer felt kit on it. That stuff will last for a long long time since it doesn't come in contact with the arrow at release.
And with the containment bar on top it acts just like a WB only better. And unlike the ripcord the QAD knows when you letting down and won't fall, this can be a hunt breaker when your up close on something.
+1!!!

Looks like he had it done in less than a month as well.
Just sayin...but I would wanted him to take his time a bit more.

I like my QAD so much that I actually have 2 of them.
I also have a GF Expert II on my target bow. Wouldn't want to use that one while hunting though, no containment.

Re: Finishing Out My Attached Garage...Ideas?
on 2011-10-04 15:10:00
Not to completely hijack this thread as it does have something to do with a garage. Say a guy has a detached, insulated, finished 40x28 garage/shop with 9' ceilings that isn't heated. (By the way it's sheetrocked, textured, and painted. I wouldn't have it any other way.) What would be the best option to heat it?
It is wired for electricity, but doesn't run off of a seperate meter. Should a guy spend the $$ and have the natural gas ran to it and put a gas heater or get some sort of electric, or I guess a guy could do propane.

Brinkman's suck! I and campcook had one and they only lasted about 3 years before going out. Spend the extra $$, I was in the same boat as you are and I do not regret it. Like they say, "buying quality only hurts once."

Bought a Weber a few weeks ago and it's amazing! Especially compared to the cheap ol grills I used to use. Little spendy, but so far it's well worth it! I find myself grilling at least 4 days a week now :)
Re: Yote in the Decoys!!

My neighbor was out goose hunting on Saturday and also had a yote come barreling in and tried to take out his motion decoy. Sounds like the yote was confused after and stood there long enough for them to take him out. Said it was the craziest thing he's ever seen come into his dekes!

Purely disgusting is what this is! Yes I can see raising prices a bit, as it is tougher and more expensive to get maintaince work done, but not by $39000 a month!
Could you turn down an extra $39,000 a month? Thats almost another half million a year mind you.

Believe me I'm a business man, and always looking for a way to make a buck; but first and formost I consider myself a "good" man. I honestly could not do that to people that I've been in business with for that many years, much less elderly.
I'm entitled to my opinion and my values and I consider what these people are doing just plain WRONG.

I've never heard anyone say they had less magnification before when using a 10x bino. I just bought a new set of glass and compared the 8x and 10x and I went with a 10x42 again. Still no regrets!
