I really am thankful to live in a country where I have a say, I am thankful a long time ago somone had the nerve to say we won't stand for this and made our country what it is today. I am thankful there is people that will stand up and defend this country and what we believe in no matter what it takes. I am thankful to live in a place where I can raise my family the way I want to. I am thankful that I have a job, a roof over my head, food on the table,a daughter that is healthy and full of life, a woman that kinda likes me for who I am(hehe) and most importantly I am thankful for my friends and family who are there when I need them the most, most people take for granted what we have and somtimes I do to, but when I stop take a moment and look around and realize there are people in this world with nothing and I mean nothing it puts it in perspective how important it is to have a roof or food or clothes friends and family the rest doesn't even matter. Be thankful for what u have around you and help others when u can the random materials you accumulate never really matter, its family friend and country regardless of how messed up it might be somtimes, just be thankful and not wasteful.

I am thankfull I live in a country were you can and have the right to succeed no matter where you are.  I am really thankfull I was rasied to believe all people are created equal, have the same rights,no matter thier color or what language they speak. Thanksgiving day was started by imagrats with a dream of a better life far from thier roots just as many still have that dream.

Happy Thanksgiving to all.  I am thankful for family, friends, and the 5 inches of good ice we have been maintaining on the lake i have been fishing despite the warmer temps the last couple of days.  Also a special thanks to all the people who are not able to be with family and friends because they are serving this great country and a prayer goes out to the families of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

And on a little more light hearted note, I am thankful:
to have the ability to shoot a deer with a .223 if I would like
to bait deer if I so wish (at least for now)
to hunt inside an HF enclosure if it ever becomes something I would like to do
to shoot at running deer
to take shots far outside my ability in distance at things like gophers and prarie dogs
to use electronic coyote calls
to go to advisory meetings and share my input thinking it will matter
to drive a Ford instead of a Goverment Motors product
to use a .308 to shoot coyotes or even a .300 ultra mag
to shoot those coyotes even if there is not a bounty on them
to be able to deal with deer depredation on my own (within legal limits)
to debate and point out flaws in others global warming claims
to be able to point out flaws in liberal social agendas
to shoot a Savage occassionally
and to be able to use goofy emotioncons on FBO
Happy Thanksgiving
