My 2011 ND Muley

Well I hunted for 2 weeks straight between Montana and ND. I waited until the last day of the season to fill my tag. On Saturday morning my brother spotted a decent sized mule deer buck with 4 kickers and a 10-12 inch drop tine. He was with about 10 does. I didn't get on him before he disappeared into the "forest".
So Sunday morning we decided to hunt the same area we had seen that buck the day before. First light didn't produce a deer of any sort. So we just worked the area draw by draw. At about 10 oclock we were heading back to the pickup and were going to basically call it a season. On the way back I kicked 6 then 7 then 8 does out of a creek bed. As I was watching them I knew there had to be a buck with them and that it would more than likely be the nontypical.
10 does came out of the creek and finally the buck came out. I just saw decent antlers and knew I was going to shoot. The buck stopped with 2 does at 386 yards. I squeezed the trigger and the buck disappeared. The 2 does bounced around wondering what to do before they took off. I then knew that I had dropped him.
So in my mind I had just dropped the buck with the footlong dropper. Well as you can see it does not have a dropper. haha.
I am still very happy with the buck. He is just a good ND mule deer. Not big and not small.
