Most memorable outdoor experience: I was hiking the Grand Canyon and I had a severe allergic reaction to a pollen or weed in the area. I kept on going to get in all the views even though my eyes were swelling shut and tearing profusely, I did not give up and took as much of the day in as I could. In the end it was a great experience.

Age: 21
Occupation: Student @ the SD School of Mines (Meteorology Major)/ The Weight Room & Cardio Fitness employee
Hometown: Rapid City, SD
Likes: My #1 hobby is walleye fishing; I am on the water (both during the winter and summer) whenever I get a chance. Working out, going out w/ friends for drinks, shopping, modeling, motocross, sky diving, hiking, camping, stockcar races, watching thunderstorms and all sorts of water sports.
Dislikes: Slow drivers, windy days, waking up before 9a.m., and when a big catfish hits my jig and takes it to the bottom like a 5 lb. walleye. I get all excited but come to find out that it’s not the trophy walleye I thought it was.
Most memorable outdoor experience: Last spring when my dad and I went out fishing together. We were trolling with lead core when I got a 20 lb. northern on my reef runner. I reeled and reeled for about 20 minutes bringing the northern over 200 feet into the boat. Needless to say, my arms were a little sore and I was tired, but I still managed to lift it up proudly for a picture! It doesn’t get any better than a nice day of fishing out on the water and a trophy fish to top it off!

Dislikes: Doing the dishes and people who are late
Most memorable outdoor experience: My first year deer hunting with my dad and brother – we started out walking during the morning of opening deer season. We walked for about three hours and at around 10:00 a.m. my dad shot his buck, a very nice 5x5 white tail! We walked up and down draws all day. On our way back my brother said, “There’s a doe”! So, I lined her up in my cross hair and took a shot. I hit her perfect. We had her field dressed and in the pick-up heading back to town when all of a sudden, my dad said, “There’s another one”! I knelt down, had him in my sights and my brother whispered, “Look at the body on that thing”. My dad had his spotting scope out and told me “Misti, that’s a big buuu”, but before he could finish saying “buck”, I pulled the trigger and had him too!! He was an old gray river bottom white tail.

Occupation: Pharmacy Technician
Hometown: Rapid City, SD
Likes: When I'm not doing outdoorsy things like hunting, fishing, hiking and camping, I love going to movies, keeping up with my fitness and nutrition, karaoke and spending all my time with the love of my life!
Dislikes: When I was young I'd complain about the cold, baiting a hook and gutting wild game...now it's just something you have to do if you’re going to play in the outdoors!
Most memorable outdoor experience: I was nine years old out on SheridanLake in South Dakota ice fishing with my dad and sister. We had tip ups in and were watching them as we sat by the fire, when all of a sudden my flag popped up! I yelled to my dad for assistance as I ran to the hole, and he closely followed behind me. He let me pull on the line myself, but I wasn't making any progress, so he helped out and as soon as he grabbed onto the line I remember him saying, "It's a big one!" Now my dad's a strong man, but he insisted I help him out - so I grabbed on and got ready for the 20 minute fight we had ahead of us. As soon as we got the Northern Pike up to the hole he knew he'd need help from his friends that were near by. Needless to say, we got it out on the ice and I was the happiest girl alive. Catching a 12lb Northern at the age of nine was a great accomplishment, especially when I go over to my dad's at the age of 23 and see it mounted on his wall!
