Miss April
Age: 21 Hometown: New Underwood, SD Likes: Some of the things I enjoy are hunting, fishing, basketball and anything outdoors!! Dislikes: One of my dislikes is arrogant people. Most memorable outdoor experience: The time my friend and I went turkey hunting in the Black Hills. We spent the time to put the turkeys to bed in the evening, so we knew exactly where to set up in the morning. The morning was very chilly, we could see our breath as we set up under the pine trees. As the sun began to rise we started to hear the hens yelping. My hunting partner was set up twenty yards behind me and began calling to the hens. The excited gobblers started answering to the yelping hens, it was game on! The turkeys left their roost nearly twenty |

It was really great to have the whole family together being active and having a good time. There really is nothing better than family and it is a memory that will stay with me forever! |

Miss September
Age: 29 Occupation: Fitness Director and Personal Trainer Hometown: Bismarck, ND Likes: Weight Lifting, working out, waterfowl and upland game hunting, bow hunting, deer and coyote hunting, sporting clays, fishing, any sport I can be competitive in, friends and family and life in general. Dislikes: Pessimistic people and attitudes Most memorable outdoor experience: I went Canadian Goose Hunting for the very first time by myself and my boyfriend's dog, Riggs. It was early winter 2009 and I was trying to pass shoot them off the river. I was using his 12 gauge Benelli Super Black Eagle II and had taken a few attempts at some far geese. Finally, a single goose flew over me. I pulled up and shot it on the 2nd shot. Riggs retrieved this 14 pound goose and brought it back to me alive. It was so big I had a problem wringing it's neck and I didn't want to shoot it again because it was a mile hike back to the truck and I didn't want it all bloody. I was told that you can squeeze the air out of a pheasant so I thought I could do that with a goose by sitting on it. I attempted it and when I thought I had succeeded I got ready for the next set of geese. Suddenly, Riggs's ears perked up. I looked over and saw it staring at me as mad as it could be. I finally was able take care of it peacefully. I made sure the next two I shot were dead on impact and I actually had a double. For my first time ever shooting geese and doing it by pass shooting I had shot 3 geese (14 pounds, 12 pounds, and 11 pounds) in 7 shots. I was so proud until I had to haul all of them back to the truck... but that's another story! :) |
