Miss December
Age: 21 Occupation: Cosmetologist Hometown: Belfield, ND Likes: Riding horse, fishing, racing motocross, animals, summer, vacations, going to movies and dressing up! Dislikes: Weather below zero, and lies. Most memorable outdoor experience: It was the summer of my 8th grade year. My aunt took my cousin and I to Miles City Montana to stay on a ranch for a few days. He had the most beautiful white Arabian horses... We could just jump on them bareback and ride for hours and hours... They would go in dams and swim with us on their backs, with us clinging onto their necks. It was so much fun! |

Miss February
Age: 24 Occupation: Assembler Hometown: Mandan Likes: I love summer time, popsicles, and thunderstorms. I enjoy reading, playing in the snow, going for walks, hiking, rollerblading, dancing, tanning, and spending time on the river. I like the smell of diesel and I love to get dirty…and then clean again. I like socializing, spending time with family and friends, and meeting new people. Dislikes: I don't like bugs or fast food and I hate good byes. Most memorable outdoor experience: My boyfriend and I were sitting on the bank of the Heart River one summer night. The air was cool and the sound of the water flowing was so calming that we fell asleep under the stars. It was beautiful waking up to the warm sunrise and the sound of the birds chirping. |

Miss March
Age: 23 Occupation: Law School Student Hometown: Bismarck, ND Likes: Traveling, sports, camping, volunteering, reading, dogs, the way it smells after a rainstorm, cuddling, sunrises & sunsets, sleeping in, and laughing until I cry. Dislikes: I am deathly afraid of snakes other than that I dislike cats, fast food joints, arguing with someone who is just as stubborn as I am, the lack of individuality today, confusion, assumptions, and insensitivity. Most memorable outdoor experience: Hiking in the Wicklow Mountains, a mountain range in the Southeast of Ireland. Our final hike to the Upper Lake at Glendalough in the Wicklow Mountains was very strenuous to say the least, several times I had to turn to my partners and encourage them to keep from turning back. This final hike was more than worth it, it was the most beautiful sight I have ever seen. |

Miss June
Age: 24 Occupation: Administrative Assistant for a Professional Sports Team Hometown: Rapid City, SD Likes: Travelling, Hiking, Mountain biking, and backpacking. Playing in the Black Hills! Cooking, Gourmet food, Fine Dining, and good wine. Reading, Relaxing, Laying in the Sun, and Being on Vacation! Dislikes: Sleeping in, driving on icy roads, idle time, murky water, and milk. Most memorable outdoor experience: Six years ago, I backpacked Cloud Peak wilderness in the Big Horns with a group of people. On the last day of the trip, three others and myself left the trail to get a better view and ended up lost in the woods! We were missing persons for nearly 24 hours. Eventually, we discovered a four-wheeling trail that turned into a path and eventually became a road. We were finally rescued when we came up on a summer camp for inner-city L.A. kids. It was horrible at the time, but a great experience and awesome story to tell in the end! I went back to Cloud Peak last summer with my boyfriend and my two dogs-- we stayed on the trails and had a wonderful time! |

Miss July
Age: 22 Occupation: Accountant Hometown: Chamberlain, SD Likes: Being outdoors, hunting, fishing, football, being with family and friends. Dislikes: Snakes, spiders, and small fish. Most memorable outdoor experience: It’s hard to pick a favorite when you grow up with a dad that is a fishing/hunting guide. But, I would say fishing on Lake Oahe after just buying a brand new pole and getting the real stripped out on the first fish because it was a 10 lbs walleye was preety exciting. Then to top it off, I throw another pole in the water and catch another 10 lb walleye. My nickname was “Lucky” that day! |

Miss August
Age: 22 Occupation: Student @ the SD School of Mines (Meteorology Major)/ The Weight Room & Cardio Fitness employee Hometown: Rapid City, SD Likes: My #1 hobby is walleye fishing; I am on the water (both during the winter and summer) whenever I get a chance. Working out, going out w/ friends for drinks, shopping, modeling, motocross, sky diving, hiking, camping, stockcar races, watching thunderstorms and all sorts of water sports. Dislikes: Slow drivers, windy days, waking up before 9a.m., and when a big catfish hits my jig and takes it to the bottom like a 5 lb. walleye. I get all excited but come to find out that it’s not the trophy walleye I thought it was. Most memorable outdoor experience: Last spring when my dad and I went out fishing together. We were trolling with lead core when I got a 20 lb. northern on my reef runner. I reeled and reeled for about 20 minutes bringing the northern over 200 feet into the boat. Needless to say, my arms were a little sore and I was tired, but I still managed to lift it up proudly for a picture! It doesn’t get any better than a nice day of fishing out on the water and a trophy fish to top it off! |

Miss October
Age: 25 Occupation: Massage Therapist Hometown: Mercer, ND Likes: Summer days spent on the river or lake, relaxing, camping, and fishing with my brother is always a great time. I also enjoy running, skiing, and spending time with good friends and family. Dislikes: Extreme cold winter days, and seasonal allergies. Most memorable outdoor experience: When I was fourteen, my best friend and I decided to go fishing at my dad's ice house on a lake about five miles from home. It was very cold out, but the house was toasty warm with a small wood stove in it. We didn't get one bite for three hours and decided to give up. I went to start the truck and realized the battery was dead! Some how, in process of trying to get it started we locked ourselves out of the warm icehouse! All we could do was wait in the cold truck for some one to find us. Luckly we only had to wait one cold hour, and my dad arrived looking for us. Thankfully, we both turned out alright. It was an experience I will never forget. |

Most memorable outdoor experience: When I was 7 years old, I was ice fishing with my dad and some of his buddies at Van Hook on Lake Sakakawea. I was playing Crazy 8’s in one of the guy’s ice house when the buzzer went off letting us know we had a fish on the line in our own house. When I was sprinting over to our house, I slipped and fell on my little bottom, but proceeded to get up and pull in my 8 pound 12 ounce walleye (with the help of my dad). I begged him to have my fish mounted which is still hanging in my living room today!

Hometown: Fairfield, ND
Likes: Riding horse, hunting, fishing, traveling, camping, backpacking, snowmobiling, and skiing
Dislikes: Snakes and death
Most memorable outdoor experience: Elk hunting season 2006. I hunted for 13 days strait with my dad, 4 a.m. every morning. Finally, towards the last day of the season, four elk came over the hill into the draw and came out the trees at the bottom. I had my cross hairs on the one I wanted and shot, but he didn’t move at all! I look at my dad and said “shoooooot! I missed!” and he said “well shoot again shoot again!” Just as I was about to shoot again, the elk fell over dead! I had hit him with a perfect shot the first time.
